recently we did a House Extension Cost Survey with some of our tradesmen. The question was how much would it cost to build an average 40m2 single story rear extension excluding VAT with apex roof finished to a good standard and ready to furnish?   I have attached a sample of the replies we received below with some tips provided by the tradesmen.  I have added VAT of 13.5% on all the prices quoted and converted to a total price for 40m2 where a square metre or square foot price was provided:-

Is Navy the New Black when it comes to Kitchens?

However, navy really is beautiful, it carries connotations of sophistication and confidence. It co-ordinates beautifully with warm brasses or coppers, it also makes whites or soft greys really stand out.

If you’re planning on a new kitchen, here are some examples to help you decide if a navy kitchen is right for you or not. As it’s a dark colour, your kitchen needs to have lots of natural light to carry this off but if it does, I think the navy really adds a wow factor.
