Laminate flooring is one of the most popular types of flooring. It is extremely durable, protected by a tough external layer and resin coating. A laminate floor is stronger and more scratch-resistant, impact-resistant and longer lasting than solid hardwood, vinyl, or carpet.
Recently we carried out a quick price survey among some tradesmen who are registered on our website. We asked them to give a rough price to fit a laminate wooden floor. In addition to this, we asked if they had any tips for getting the best job done. We have attached a sample of the replies we received below:-

A while ago we did a survey on custom kitchen and custom wardrobe prices for our blog. We asked tradesmen how much including materials and labour would it cost per foot, excluding vat, to make 1. A custom fitted wardrobe and 2. A custom fitted kitchen. We also asked if they had any tips for the customer on having a good experience with the tradesman. It is a good idea to regularly check that your gutters, fascia and soffit are in good condition. Any issues identified should be repaired or replaced as they are important to protect the interior and exterior and foundation of your home.

The Irish Government recently added more restrictions to the level 5 restrictions already in place. These restrictions have been introduced to control the spread of the virus in Ireland which has been increasing exponentially in recent weeks. The fear is that the health system would not cope with the numbers of patients being treated if strong measures are not put in place as soon as possible. I have included a summary of the restrictions below with some extra detail on construction related restrictions:-
